My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you ever met a bread you didn't like? How about a cat? Meet Boudin! She may, or may not have been named after the bakery. And, just like every bakery has its secret recipe, Boudin has her very own recipe to a sweet life! The ingredients are: a splash of love, a pinch of cat nip, a handful of toys, a chef's kiss, a rub on the chin and then allow to rest in a sunny window for several hours. But the most important ingredient is her sister and YOU! Yes, sweet Boudin has a sister, Chompers. They are a package deal. Like a twin pack of bread loafs.

Boudin recently met a large friendly dog and didn't seem to mind the interaction. She currently likes with other cats and a child. The girls would likely to well in most household situations with time.

If you'd like to meet this amazing duo, please reach out to their foster mom, Natasha at n_taylors@yahoo.com  or stop into our adoption events at Pet Food Express, 5404 Ygnacio Valley Road, Concord every Saturday and Sunday from 10a-2p. Thank you for considering a rescued cat!

Please bring your own carrier.

More about this rescue

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
