My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chompers! This sweet gal is so affectionate, curious, outgoing and loves to play with her sister, Boudin. When not playing, they are happiest cuddling up to her foster family and napping. Chompers and Boudin are still kittens and have that playful kitten energy.  These sisters currently lives with other cats and a child. The girls would likely to well in most household situations with time.  We think she may have some Turkish Van in her!   If you'd like to meet this amazing duo, please reach out to their foster mom, Natasha at n_taylors@yahoo.com.  Thank you for considering a rescued cat!

More about this rescue

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
