Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** If you are interested in adopting Buzz, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ **
Looking for a new buddy! Buzz may just be your guy! Buzz is an adorable scruffy pup with lots of personality.
He is around 2 years old and is only 7lbs. He is believed to be a Yorkie / Maltese mix.
Buzz is coming to Farfel's Rescue from Houston, TX. His current foster says he is very sweet and loooooves food & treats! He also loves to play fetch and with squeaky toys.
Buzz would be a wonderful companion for an individual, a family, or active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with this irresistible pup that's beautiful both inside and out.
Buzz will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. At day's end, a spot on, or beside the bed all night next to his favorite humans will speak to the loving nature of this little dog.
We'd like to place Buzz in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area.
Buzz has been fully vetted and is up to date on vaccines. Buzz has not been neutered yet, which will need to be done before his adoption can become official - but we will cover that cost if done at our rescue vet.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
