Meet Renan — a 5-year-old, 22-pound Maltese mix with a gentle soul and a heart ready to belong to someone special.
Renan came to us from another shelter earlier this year, and since then he’s shown us just how sweet, sensitive, and deserving he truly is.
This handsome boy loves adults and bonds beautifully with people who take the time to understand him. Renan prefers a calm, predictable home where he can do things at his own pace. Because he values his space and routines, he would do best in a home with no young children and no other pets, allowing him to be the center of attention — just the way he likes it.
Renan enjoys his walks and is steadily improving on leash with gentle, consistent practice. His house training is still ongoing, but with patience and a good routine, he’ll continue to make progress. When he’s feeling comfortable, he loves spending time in the yard, exploring, stretching his legs, and soaking in the fresh air. And of course, nothing beats relaxing with a Bene Bone — one of his favorite ways to unwind.
While Renan isn’t the kind of dog who wants nonstop cuddles, he absolutely cherishes affection when he’s in the right mood. Give him time, kindness, and understanding, and he’ll reward you with a bond that runs deep.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will flourish in a quiet, dedicated home, Renan is ready to start his next chapter with someone who truly sees him.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
