My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bonbon was brought in by his previous owner on 7/28/2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Bonbon! This handsome and playful pup is in need of a new best friend to adventure with. Bonbon loves a good game of fetch or a long walk, and is well behaved on his leash. He loves to receive pets and is very polite when meeting new people. Bonbon is reported to be good with children, but can be a bit rambunctious with unfamiliar dogs and hasn't spent much time around cats. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake" and would likely enjoy learning new ones. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is sure to add joy to your life, visit our Escondido Campus and meet Bonbon today!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
