Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I adopted Molly in July of 2023. Not much was known about her history other than she was used purely for breeding and she is 3 1/2-ish. She was kept outside in a very small wire cage, was severely malnourished, and dehydrated. The number of litters she had is unknown. Once rescued, she was spayed but tested positive for heartworms. She has finished her heart work meds and I will be taking her to the vet for a checkup within the next week.
When I met Molly I fell in love with her. Despite all the horror I can o it
Imagine she has experienced, she is so loving. Being with people makes her smile (so do mashed potatoes…they’re her favorite). She is still skiddish around loud noises or quick movements. She has loved every 2-legged friend she has met so far. And she is ok with my male dog (that’s the only male she has been around so I’m not sure if she is ok with all males). But…she is NOT female dog friendly. I have 4 other female dogs in my home so unfortunately Molly can’t stay. I want to find her a home where she can be the Queen! She deserves nothing less.

Our process is not too detailed but we want to make sure the furbaby will be taken care of. We are not a first come, first served rescue, however, we also will not require the adopter to jump through tons of hoops to adopt either.

More about this rescue
Happy Tails Animal Sanctuary aims to be the forever home for animals we take in. However, due to the volume of homeless pets, we do operate on a rescue basis as well. We pull from kill shelters, have the pet altered and evaluated and try to place the pet in a forever home. If the sanctuary is the best fit for the pet, then it will stay here. However, not all animals do well in a multianimal household.
