My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Kauai, and I'm almost 2 years old, and really glad to be here, cuz it was a narrow thing that I got here at all! See, me and my siblings were caught in the edge of a "field fire" one fall and thank goodness we could all yell real loud, because just in time some kind humans rescued us. Whew. That was a narrow escape! We came to a Magicats foster place, and that's where we grew up. We were a bit singed around the edges, and it's taken a while for whiskers and such to grow back, but we're big and healthy and happy guys. I do have a bit of a residual problem from the ordeal, my eye waters when the air is smokey. Not a problem for me but people tend to worry about those things! I was adopted into a great home but, after about a year, things changed (not my fault!) and I had to come back to Magicats. I'm still the same happy-go-lucky, affectionate guy and now I'm looking for my furrever home (I hope it sticks this time!). If you think I'm the right guy for your household, let's meet up and talk about it.

Additional adoption info

Our current fee for a cat or kitten is $80.00
We require a signed application that is reviewed by our volunteers.
Adopter must agree that the pet will be Inside Only and must have permission from their landlord if they are renting.
Before adoption all of our pets are thoroughly examined by one of our vets. They have received a rabies shot, series of vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV and are always spayed or neutered.

Go meet their pets

We currently have kennels available to us at the Twin Falls and Meridian PetSmart Adoption Centers. We have scheduled kitten socials, where you can arrange to meet some of our cats. Our pets are also available for viewing on our website and on petfinder.com.
We are happy to arrange a private meeting and adoption for any of our cats after we have approved the adoption application.

More about this rescue

We are a small and devoted group of volunteers who started this organization in 2010. Our goal is to find homes for as many cats and kittens as we are physically and financially able to do. We have no facility and all of our pets are cared for in loving foster homes. We do as much as we can with the funds from adoption fees, donations and contributions from all of our volunteers.
