Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day between 12pm-7pm. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.
No time to come to the shelter? Meet me virtually during our open hours, note that wait time may vary for virtual meet and greets and we require same day pick up if you decide to adopt: https://waitwhile.com/locations/humanerescuealliance/r/welcome
Everyone loves daisies and our Daisy will make you fall in love fast! Daisy is a young lady who was found as a bashful stray. She was lacking confidence, but she has quickly found her happy zone! She is sweet, lovable, cuddly, affectionate! This pretty girl is amazing. Daisy has had some playdates with other doggies, and she does well but prefers the more mellow players. Daisy would LOVE to meet a family soon so that she can begin a brand-new adventure.
And a volunteer who recently spent time with Daisy had this to share: Daisy is so sweet and attentive. She wants to be a lap dog, but wasn’t overbearing or pushy about it. She’s gentle when looking for affection and she’s also gentle accepting treats. She plays a good game of fetch - will bring the ball back and drop it! She’s also easy to walk/leash. She’s perfect! Come pick this darling Daisy today.

More about this shelter
At the Humane Rescue Alliance, we honor more than 150 years of commitment to protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. HRA serves as a national leader and local champion for all animals.
LOCAL FOCUS
With a people-focused, community-based approach, we treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Through our five campuses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, we are the largest animal services provider in our region – touching the lives of tens of thousands of animals annually through direct rescue, care, and community-based services. Our teams find solutions to both small and big problems, from providing direct care to an animal in crisis to tackling systemic barriers to affordable, pet-friendly housing.
