My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Primo!

Primo is a sweet 1.5 year old Pittie mix. He loves to give kisses and is eager to please! Primo was a stray and came to his foster severely underweight. Currently weighing 35lbs he is working hard to pack on the pounds and fill out his figure to its full hunk potential.

His superpowers include being a fast learner. He has already mastered sit, come, wait, leave it, with me, bed and his release word "ok. He is super smart and loves practicing and refining his skills everyday. Other superpowers include loving all people everywhere, always eager to say hello and wiggling with excitement.

In terms of house training, Primo is a potty champ! He boasts a record of zero accidents and will vocalize when he needs to go out. If that wasn't enough he has gone consistently in the same designated spot at his foster home in the yard. He does also love to go for a walk and practice and treats is learning how to be the best boy on leash.

Some of his favorite things are his food puzzles, chew toys, and balls of all sizes; tennis, soccer, volleyball. He would love a home who will keep him mentally stimulated and continue to work on and expand his resume of commands!

If you're looking for the smartest and sweetest lover who will greet you with full body kisses every time you walk in the door he might be your perfect match!

Primo is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. His adoption fee is $425.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
