My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am looking for a temp foster November 27-December 1 or my purrever family.

If you can temp foster me please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org

If you are interested in adopting me please complete my adoption application on my profile.

Hi, my name is Gazebo. I am from Minnesota.

From her foster: Are you looking for a reading buddy? Maybe a WFH su-purr-visor? Perhaps you need a stress relief pal that is soft and snuggly? Gazebo is your girl! She's adapted so quickly to a new environment, loves butt scratches and ear pets, and is great at letting you know she needs a break. She adores catnip (it makes her a toddler on a sugar high so she only gets it as a special treat) and loves to play with feather toys/tassles. She has been trying to befriend my resident cat to no avail. I think she would do well with a furry family member. She does shed (long haired) but does okay with being brushed. She's a pro at using her litter box. Loud unexpected noises scare her and she can be a bit skittish but recovers quickly. Gazebo is just a sweet girl looking for a human to treat her like the perfect little poofy pantaloon wearing kitty cat that she is!

She would do well in a home with less activity. She was part of a hoarding case so could do well with another cat but unsure since our resident cat isn't friendly. While she might enjoy having another cat to play with, she is loving being an only cat and getting all the love and attention from her human companion. If you adopt her, she promises to make you smile and laugh every day with her silly behavior.

Gazebo is still learning how to be a pet, but watching her learn is a joy. She still needs lots of "introvert time" under the bed, but each day, she spends a little more time playing and receiving pets and treats. While she is still figuring out "lap," she likes to be close to me. Every night she lies beside me in the bed, and she likes to rest her paws on my leg or shoulders when we sit together on the couch. Earning her trust has been such a rewarding journey. After a difficult start in life, this cat deserves to be loved, spoiled, and given the best life a pet can have.

Go meet their pets

The Bond Between's goal is to not keep any animals at our rescue office. The majority of our animals are living in foster homes until they are adopted. Occasionally, animals are living in our rescue office that are in need of a foster home.

If you would like to meet an animal at our office who needs a foster, please reach out to inofficeanimals@thebondbetween.org and fill out our foster interest form at https://www.thebondbetween.org/foster

For more information on fostering or adoptable animals, please visit https://www.thebondbetween.org.

More about this rescue

The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.

We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.

You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
