All about Louie from his foster home!
How would you describe the cat's general personality?
Louie is an incredibly friendly and affectionate 10-year-old cat. He loves to be with people and does not enjoy being alone.
Does the cat enjoy being pet?
Yes. Louie loves being pet.
If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet?
He likes being scratched behind the ears, on his chest, on his chin, and on his back.
Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched?
We assume his stomach.
Does the cat come on your lap?
On occasion, but he mostly likes being next to people.
Does the cat like to be held?
He will allow you to hold him.
Does the cat sleep in your bed?
Yes.
Does the cat seek your attention?
Yes.
Does the cat like to play?
He’s a more laid back kind of guy who chooses lounging over playing.
What are the cat's favorite games and toys?
He enjoys toys with streamers.
How vocal is the cat?
He's pretty quiet, but he will meow if he needs something.
What kinds of sounds does the cat make?
The regular meow, purring, and something similar to a bark.
Does the cat scratch a scratcher?
Yes.
Does the cat always use the litter box?
Yes.
Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances?
Yes. On day one he swatted at me when I was trying to coax him out of an area.
Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you?
No.
Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you?
If he wants to be left alone he will put his mouth on your hand (very gentle).
Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)?
No.
To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful?
Very social! He comes up to greet guests.
Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions?
Louie loves windowsills and being brushed.
In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt?
He is the sweetest, most loving cat we've ever met.
What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them?
When Louie wants to be left alone, he will tell you. He's never aggressive, but he does have strong boundaries. It's best to listen to him.
