That’s right! Our handsome bow tie model Bailey is now available for adoption!

He is a handsome (yep we had to say it again!) 6 year old lab mix (DNA test 🧬 is pending 😉) who loves to play and explore the yard, but also loves to be a couch potato 🛋️ 🥔 more and just be with his people. He’s a great companion dog for anyone looking for one!

Bailey gets along with other dogs as long as they’re medium to large size like him, as he doesn’t prefer the small barky dogs much. He’s great with cats 🐈 and even pet birds 🐦 flying around the house 🏡.

Bailey had some anxiety with some kids in his prior home so for his best interest we’ll only place him in a home with either no kids or kids at least 14 years+ who will respect his space.

Bailey was diagnosed and treated back in February for Lyme disease so he might always test positive, and must be on monthly preventatives year round, no exceptions.

Once you are approved we will start looking for your new dog. If you are already interested in a particular dog, your application will be submitted for that dog and if it's a good fit you can be matched with that dog. We will set up a meeting with the dog and if all goes well at the meeting you will take the dog home to start a two week pre-adoptive period. If all goes well in the two weeks, we will come out and finalize the adoption.

Jax's Labrador Retriever Rescue was founded to rescue Labrador Retrievers, Lab Mixes and other sporting breed dogs from the heart-breaking conditions of shelters. Our particular focus is on less "Labby" looking mixes, harder to place dogs, and those that have a more difficult time getting adopted, but absolutely deserve the chance to escape the shelter and find a safe and loving home. Anyone who has ever owned a Lab or Lab mix knows how precious they are, and the positive impact these dogs make on the families who rescue them. With your help, we can end the dismal cycle of abandoned and abused shelter dogs, and place these dogs in the safe environment where they belong.
