My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lexi is a delightful and loving 10 month old spayed dog. She is looking for an adopter with a calm, stable environment because the kiddos and volume of visitors in her current home has her on edge. Her family has realized that, as much as they love her, their busy home isn't as compatible with Lexi's needs as they hoped it would be.
She’s smart and snuggly and does great with her immediate family. Lexi has attended puppy school at Napa Humane and is a model student! She sits, stays, spins and also shakes on cue. Lexi is crate trained and sleeps through the night. This puppy is a dream in the car. She runs next to a bike and is happy as a clam. Lexi is an excellent jogging companion, and she does pretty well on a lead for a young pup. Lexi enjoys harassing the resident cat on occasion, but they have learned to cohabitate.
House guests, particularly the younger variety, are especially scary because of their volume, speed and unpredictability. This makes Lexi nippy. The volume of boisterous 8- and 10-year-old visitors in her current home means that Lexi is being kenneled more than they'd like in order to prevent any issues and keep everyone safe. Her family loves Lexi and they realize that rehoming her is the best way to help Lexi feel happier and more relaxed. Thank you for sharing to find Lexi her dream home! Please email Deryn with any questions or to meet Lexi: derynpeck@gmail.com

More about this rescue

Whiskers, Tails and Ferals is a network of volunteers and foster families caring for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens who have been abandoned, are feral, or are facing the threat of being euthanized at an animal shelter.
All dogs and cats that come into our program are spayed or neutered. Felines are FeLV and possibly FIV, vaccinated, wormed (as needed) and micro-chipped.
All sick animals are immediately put under the care and supervision of a Napa veterinarian and Whiskers, Tails and Ferals pays for their medications.
The cats and kittens that are not able to be tamed, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colonies where colony guardians continue to feed and care for them.
