My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ace is a handsome, blue boy, with all of that classic Pittie charm! The sweet smiles, the wiggly butt, the big baby eyes- Ace has it all. Loving, loyal, eager to please, and great with kids and other dogs, this boy is a dream!

His foster dad says the cutest thing about him is that he is gentle and appreciates affection. And when he smiles - he smiles with his mouth and his eyes. He is absolutely precious. Very easy to love!!

Ace is a one-and-a-half year-old pittie mix weighing a modest 45 pounds. This boy is bulking right now though, he’ll likely be a little beefier in a few weeks, with some love and groceries. Though with rescue we can’t guarantee any dog’s breed, age or eventual size!

Fall in love with Ace here: https://youtu.be/TUE-O4uqzUQ

Ace is new to all of the luxuries a loving human can afford a dog, but adapting quickly and with great gratitude! Ace definitely has an understanding that he was rescued, and it’s made him such a loving and eager-to-please pup. He picks up on training quickly, and he’s food motivated. He already has great house manners, he’s picking up leash training quickly and he’s so polite and respectful with humans. At just 18 months, this boy is just exiting the throes of puppyhood, still highly trainable, and ready to become your perfect dog.

With other dogs, Ace does very well. He is submissive to all other dogs and can defuse a situation where another dog wants to dominate him a bit. He lives in a foster home with a lot of other dogs of all sizes and loves to go out in the yard with them. He likes to play chase, and he’s a vocal player. Ace did well here at the rescue, meeting a few of our other dogs, and would love some doggy siblings of his own.

We tested Ace in the same room with a cat, and he completely ignored the cat.

Ace opens up very quickly with kids, regardless of the environment. He seems to treasure his time with them. He is so soft, gentle and respectful with kids.

He wants to cuddle. He is respectful of the space of new people and waits to be invited to cuddle. It is precious to witness!

Ace is a naturally optimistic and happy boy, he really has so much of that “pittie” heart to him. He loves to snuggle up on the couch, he loves attention and affection, he’s gentle and sweet, and has that sweet pittie smile. I know that this boy will find happiness in any pittie-lover’s home.

Ace would thrive in just about any home with loving human companionship. He is an all around gentle, bright soul who would love a comfy place to land. Adopt Ace today, he is ready to go home! We are willing to test Ace with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
