A Volunteer writes: If Miss Missy doesn't woo you with her penchant for affection, then she will with her habit of sitting on cue as soon as she sees you pull out a treat. While she will sit nicely without even being asked if she sees something delicious in her future, she also knows commands for "sit" and "paw." At just over a year old, this eager-to-please girl has so much potential for learning much more in a foster or forever home! She is an easy walker, walkable by our newest volunteers at the shelter, in fact, and I always enjoy our time together; Missy is intrigued by all the sights and sounds on our long walks, and has even been known to stop and roll around in the grass at times. This silly girl has been spotted snoring away in her kennel at times, and as one of the shelter's long-timers, she would love nothing more than a real home to snooze in. Miss Missy should be the only pet for now.

My Borough Breaker writes: Miss Missy was a very good girl! A few things I noticed on our walk was she was reactive to other dogs, car sounds, and men specifically, and a bit of a leash puller. She's a very strong girl! She took her treats well and liked to lean her weight into us. Next time I will hope to take her indoors and get to socialize with her more as she was a little overwhelmed and on alert at all times with her surroundings outside.
