Carmi, an incredible kitten mama, can be very gentle but can also get over stimulated and can give love bites. Even her warm, honey-colored eyes and sugar-dipped smile are a reflection of her great affection when she is comfortable with you! Her four kittens have been tenderly nurtured by this loving girl who is ready to retire from her mom duties to be the cherished companion in a forever family that understands her. Her classic cloud-soft caramel and vanilla coat (not common in girls!) is dense and easy-care, the perfect attire for her calm and easy-going lifestyle, whether she’s chasing anything that rolls, romping, bouncing, and pouncing, or snuggling in for the pets she loves! She has had limited exposures to dogs and they made Carmi very nervous since her protective mom-ness is still on alert. Could delightfully playful, loving, and beautiful Carmi, be the cozy, cuddly companion for your circle of love?

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.

Our Petco adoption center is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.
