Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Meet Gus Gus this Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00 to 1:00 at Dublin Petsmart West, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.**
** Hi! I'm GUS GUS and meeting me is a must must! **
GUS GUS has been a wonderful guest at his foster home and we can't praise him enough! He is trustworthy in the house, although if you leave stuffed animals out, he will likely rearrange them in another room. LOL!
GUS GUS is friendly, super sweet, easy to manage and house trained! He sleeps through the night on his bed and looks forward to daily walks and zooming around the yard.
He's a Siberian Husky mix, 4 years old, and he weighs 60 lbs. Although he's a mix, his DNA shows he's 100% a good boy! GUS GUS takes treats gently, loves getting pets on his soft, red and white fur, and he loves to just be in your company! He's a very social dog who wants to be with his people.
GUS GUS knows basic commands and he is good on leash and eager to meet other respectful dogs. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
If you are interested in Gus Gus, please submit an application by clicking the "Apply For Adoption box " located below his photos on the right side.

Please browse our adoptable animals. We make every effort to keep our listings updated.
Each of our animals has contact information in the description - either referencing the phone number of the foster volunteer who is fostering the animal or East County Animal Shelter contact information if a shelter animal.
If you have questions, please use the contact information in the description directly. We attempt to forward emails sent to contact@tvar.org to the foster though it is not necessarily before the animal is adopted. Also, volunteers who monitor this email do not know the animals whereas the fosters do!
If a dog or puppy is in foster with TVAR, please fill out an adoption application (available here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TVAR/Dog). We consider each application and pick the best one for the animal in question. In general, we do not do out of area adoptions. Kittens do not need applications completed - just contact the foster!
If an animal is at ECAS, they have their own adoption process. Please go to ECAS (they are open daily 11:30am to 5:30pm except holidays) to meet the animal and learn about ECAS's adoption process.
All TVAR animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, treated for worms and fleas, and microchipped. Felines are FIV/FeLV tested. Many of our pets also come with a "packed bag" that can include a variety of goodies like bedding, food, toys, leashes, and even private training sessions with our professional trainers. Adoption fees vary by species. Our fee range is $120-$350. The foster volunteer can provide specifics for the animals in their care.

More about this rescue
Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) was founded in 1992 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area). We primarily place shelter animals in foster care of TVAR volunteers while trying to find them permanent homes. Although we do not have a facility of our own, we help over 1000 animals find forever homes yearly through the hard work and dedication of our East County Animal Shelter shelter volunteers who socialize shelter animals daily and assist the public in selecting a pet to adopt.
We have a variety of volunteer programs including a shelter program and four foster programs. We are always looking for more volunteers - especially fosters. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please check out our volunteer page (https://www.tvar.org/volunteer/) for information.
