Buttercup is smart and playful and, secretly, quite purr-y. While she still has some learning to do about humans, she’s made so much progress from her first day in foster. She has the most expressive green eyes and she even has a little tie marking on her chest to complete her formal look. Buttercup always picks the highest point that she can reach on her cat tree, but bonus points if there’s another kitten to snuggle with.
Buttercup is still a bit nervous about being handled but is improving every day. She might do better in a home with another confident cat, but we think she’ll also do fine on her own with some patience and understanding.
Buttercup is litterbox trained and is currently in a foster home with two other cats that she gets along well with. She has been introduced to a small dog and is cautious but curious about him.

We believe this kitten/cat was born around 5/10/2024. It is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $150 (or $250 for two) which covers age appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. If you’re interested in adopting this kitten/cat, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We are 100% volunteer staffed and will respond to your email as soon as possible. After you have submitted an application and been approved, we will set up a meet and greet between you and the kitten/cat. Meet and greets are held virtually via Zoom and we offer a trial period to ensure your cat/kitten is a match. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about Brave Animal Rescue and our mission.
