(DOB 05/06/2018)
Doc is ready for an amzing home with people who can give him love and compassion, and then you will reap all of the rewards from this eager to please boy. Doc loves to be around his people. He does take a minute to warm up to strangers, but that isn't all that uncommon with dogs that are a little on the shyer side. But once he warms up to you, he's just loveable.
He's sweet and past the wild puppy or adolescent years, and he likes to just chill all day. He will probably do best in a family that is fairly chill, also. He can easily be in an apartment or a single family home/townhouse. He just likes to be around someone (person or dog). He spends a lot of time just lounging with his toys in his dog bed or laying with his dog siblings. He sleeps in his crate or on his dog bed. Speaking of other dogs, Doc would be happy with another dog in the home to be his bestie, but he could also be an only dog as well. Doc has not met kitties yet so we don't know about that.
The only time Doc really gets really excitable is meal time. He is always happy to chomp on down on his breakfast or dinner. He is very excited about meal time for sure. He is a pretty docile boy. He is still a bit of a flight risk so his family should know to keep him safe on a leash or a solid fenced yard. NOTE, he does not require a fenced yard in his forever home. He is really happy just hanging out with his peeps and pups!!
As part of Doc’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Doc, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
