My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Lola, nicknamed “Miss Clingy” by her foster mom, is indeed super clingy. Whether she's on her pillow at night or on her lap during the day, Lola is always glued to her foster mom, sometimes to her great dismay as she finds herself trapped in her armchair so as not to displease Miss Collante, who is always, always on her lap.

Lola arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in February 2024 after being abandoned by her adoptive family. Indeed, Lola had been adopted from RSA as a kitten. Over the years, she began to experience discomfort with the new dog in the house, the children and a self-cleaning litter box. All this was causing her a lot of stress, and she had problems using the litter box. So her family returned her to the shelter. Now that she's in a calm environment with her own litter box, she's housebroken and still uses her litter. During a medical examination, crystals were detected in her urine. So, as a precaution, she has to eat specialized food.

Lola is a worried, anxious cat who likes to be reassured. She follows her foster human everywhere as she loves the company of someone attentive to her needs. She likes it when you look at her, and appreciates gentle caresses that inevitably trigger a purr. She's not much of a player, but still enjoys playing every day. Flying insects, on the other hand, are an obsession for her! She even has the privilege of watching cat videos from time to time, and loves it! She just doesn't like being held! Lola knows how to communicate her likes and dislikes. When Lola is stressed, she may lick herself compulsively or pull out hair on her belly. Lola is looking for a loving and patient family. She has no desire to share her home with other animals or children. Her future family must not wish to have children in the future. Lola is a good cat in search of sweetness. Who will know how to spoil her for her long and beautiful life as a cat?

Lola is an adult cat therefore the adoption fees for her are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first month following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
