My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Simba

Breed: Lab Mix

Gender: Male

About Simba: Introducing Simba, a delightful 1-year-old male Lab Mix with a golden coat and a heart full of affection. This medium-sized Potcake breed mix is ready to bring his vibrant personality and playful energy into your home.

Simba is an intelligent, friendly, and active dog who loves to explore and engage with his surroundings. With a medium-high energy level, he’s the perfect companion for an active family or individual who enjoys outdoor adventures like walks, runs, or hitting the trails. Simba is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs, although he does have some resource guarding tendencies due to eating alongside many other dogs in his current environment. He’ll thrive in a home where he can have his space respected and enjoy his meals in peace.

Simba’s personality is as golden as his coat. He’s curious, playful, and resilient, with a natural ability to win hearts with his affectionate and trusting nature. His breed, known for being loyal, sensitive, and grateful, makes him an ideal companion who will bring joy and companionship to your life.

He is already spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Simba is crate trained for short periods and clean in his space. Although he hasn’t yet lived in a home environment, his intelligence and adaptability mean he will quickly adjust to new routines. Simba is also familiar with leash training and is ready for his next adventure with you.

Simba’s journey began in a low-income area of Guadalajara, where he was found as a young puppy along with his mom and siblings in an abandoned lot. After being rescued by a caring neighbor and later transferred to a private facility due to mistreatment, Simba has been given a second chance at a happy life.

He’s now eagerly awaiting his forever family, where he can continue to grow and thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving dog who will make a wonderful addition to an active home, Simba is your perfect match. Apply today and give this charming boy the loving home he deserves!

They are currently in Mexico awaiting a family committed to a 10-day trial. If interested, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org. The adoption fee is $550 and includes up-to-date vaccines, a negative heartworm test, spaying/neutering, and microchipping.
