My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Keyla

Breed: Shepherd Mix

Gender: Female

About Keyla: Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life? Keyla, a spirited young Shepherd Mix, is eager to find her forever home. This lively girl is brimming with energy and love, and she's ready to embark on a new adventure with you!

Keyla might be a bit shy at first, likely due to past experiences, but her curious and affectionate nature shines through once she feels comfortable. Her fosters describe her as a happy, well-balanced pup who is a joy to be around. With her eager-to-learn attitude, Keyla is a quick study and will thrive with some patient and loving training.

As with many dogs who have had to fend for themselves, Keyla does show some food possessiveness. Her future family will need to be understanding and work with her gently on this.

If you're ready to add a cheerful, energetic companion to your life, Keyla could be the perfect fit! She’s young, happy, and looking forward to a fresh start in the Pacific Northwest. Could you be the one to give her the loving home she deserves? Apply today and make Keyla’s dreams of a forever home come true!

They are currently in Mexico awaiting a family committed to a 10-day trial. If interested, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org. The adoption fee is $550 and includes up-to-date vaccines, a negative heartworm test, spaying/neutering, and microchipping.
