My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zebra!

This super sweet boy barely missed euthanasia when his owner of 11 years decided they didn't want him anymore. Thankfully, we were able to save him just an hour before that!

Zebra defies his age. He's 11 going on 6 and is extremely healthy. He's athletic and loves walks, trotting around the yard and lizard hunting and playing with toys. Zebra is sweet to everyone he meets and all dogs as well. He was a regular at a local doggy daycare and is very well socialized with other dogs.

Zebra is fully housetrained and has slept in a crate at night his entire life. He will sleep quietly through the night without making a peep. He would love someone who is home often and someone who can walk him. He is strong on a leash and dreams of having a fenced yard.

This spry boy is far from acting like a senior and would love to be your walking or running partner. Zebra is in Tampa and is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, HW- and on prevention. He is in Tampa and his adoption fee is $200.

If you can give Zebra a great forever home, please complete an adoption application:

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
