Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Do you KNOW and love the husky breeds? Are you a single-dog kind of person, with no desire for other animals in your life? Elfie could be the perfect dog for you! Husky experience, and love of the classic sassiness that the breed exemplifies, is a requirement for her next home.
Elfie came to us when her prior home was not a good match for her because she is not good around other animals. She`s done well with humans, but this small package has a high prey drive, and should not be around other animals. She did not do well meeting other dogs in her prior home, and while with us she has also made it clear she does not want dog friends, so we are looking for a home where she can be the only animal.
Elfie would do best with older kids (teenagers and up), and likes to cuddle, on her terms. She relaxes nicely in a crate, as long as there are no other animals around, and enjoys couch time getting belly rubs.
Elfie is smart as a whip, and really enjoys learning new things with force-free training. She has a bit of the typical husky aloofness, but is also very attentive to the people she loves.
A consultation with our Behavior Specialist is included in Elfie`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Elfie.
