For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Ridgeline came to CVHS when a multiple dog household was too much for the owners to manage, and having many large dogs in a small home created a few disputes and scuffles. Ridgeline is still settling in with us, and he's happy to meet new people, is LOVING having toys to play with, and adorably gets zoomies around our fenced yards.
Ridgeline is familiar with access to a fenced yard, and he would be happiest with a fenced-in yard he can hang out in, poking around sniffing, playing with toys, running freely, and quietly hanging out. Ridgeline walks nicely on a harness and leash, so a yard is not essential for him to be happy.
Ridgeline sleeps happily in a crate at night, and should be crated when left home alone. Though Ridgeline lived with other dogs previously, we feel he would do best being the only dog in the home, but with proper introductions, could enjoy having dog friends to visit and play with. He has done well with children of all ages. He has not met any cats.
A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Ridgeline's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Ridgeline.
