My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mylee - The Energizer Bunny with a Heart of Gold

Meet Mylee, a spunky 1.5-year-old Pit Mix bursting with energy and love! This sweet girl is ready to embark on her next adventure with a family that can keep up with her playful spirit. Mylee is already spayed and has mastered the art of leash walking, making her the perfect companion for outdoor adventures.

While she loves to burn off energy chasing and wrestling with her canine pals, Mylee also has a soft side. She enjoys cuddling with her humans and cherishes the comfort of her toys. Despite her playful nature, Mylee respects boundaries and has learned to coexist peacefully with a feline friend.

Having experienced life in a boarding facility, Mylee has developed excellent basic manners and is well on her way to mastering the art of alone time. However, she's a true clinger who craves constant companionship. A fenced yard would be an absolute dream come true for this energetic girl, allowing her to run and play freely.

Mylee is looking for an active family who understands the Pit Bull breed and can provide her with the stimulation and love she deserves. If you're ready for a loyal, affectionate, and high-energy companion, Mylee might just be your perfect match!

Mylee's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue's care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org

Go meet their pets

Northern Lakes Rescue is foster based so all dogs are being fostered by amazing volunteers across the state of MN. Because of this, we require all meet and greets to be scheduled after an application is submitted.

Our focus after you apply is to get you scheduled to meet the dog within 3 to 7 days.

More about this rescue

Our Vision is to be a voice for those who are voiceless. We hear them with our hearts and give them a voice. Looking into the eyes of a rescued animal will speak volumes; watching those eyes light up will have an everlasting impact on you and the rescued animals.

We aren’t a typical rescue as we don’t take in dogs and put them in kennels until they’re adopted. All dogs we rescue are placed in loving foster homes that teach them to be the best dog they can be.

Our journey doesn’t end with adoption, either. We are here for you to support you in integrating your new member into your home, cheer new triumphs, and help with struggles.
