Here's what the humans have to say about me:
One of the saddest things about working in animal rescue is seeing how many animals are given up, surrendered or dumped. It is staggering. The system definitely needs to be fixed as every year seems to be worse than the last. Pumpkin was recently found as a stray. He had not been neutered, but was clearly different from the other cats in the feral colony where he was hanging out. When we first learned about him, we understood he was feral and simply needed to be trapped, neutered, and released. However, when he was taken indoors, his caregiver realized he was far from feral. In fact, he was downright friendly and couldn’t have been any sweeter. One of our fosters agreed to take him in and could not believe how quickly he adapted to her household of cats and dogs. It was as if he had always lived there. Pumpkin loves people. At one point he was definitely someone’s pet but we have no idea how he ended up fending for himself on the streets. He has now been fully vetted and is ready for his forever home. He has no desire to return to a life outdoors and would love to find a home with other friendly cats or dogs. We estimate he is around one year old. For more details, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com.
