Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gilligan!
This little sweetie, Gilligan, was out of time at a high kill shelter. Just like those on the island, no one was coming for him. They reached out to us to see if we could help rescue this little buddy. We took one look at his picture and knew he deserved a second chance to live. We took a leap of faith that our army of supporters would feel the same way. So put your pawz together and help us welcome Gilligan to the Smithgall family. Little buddy you’re safe now. He’s ready for adoption so please consider this sweet boy. He's a beautiful, confident orange tabby and SO sweet. Gilligan loves kittens. He is a typical orange kitty with a silly, out-going yet calm demeanor. He loves people. He is prone to making his affections known and will do best with a person/family (preferably with older kids.) He is so thankful to be in a quiet indoor place and can be found near the door, just waiting to meet his next fan, or more likely curled up in a kitten cuddle pile because Gilligan just loves the younger kitties. We would love for him to go home with one of his little buddies.
Gilligan is 3 years young, and a small 10 pounds, super sweet and ready to find his forever home. If you can offer a safe indoor home for Gilligan please submit a cat application online at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to let us know to be on the lookout. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
