URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Wichita Falls, TX

Meet Jolie! She is an 6 month old Australian Shepherd and weighs 19 lbs. She is up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t spayed. Jolie is nervous around strangers! She is good with kids and cats! No smaller dogs, due to her reactivity! Jolie wasn’t socialized while in her previous home, so she has some leash reactivity. She is fearful of bigger dogs and will need slow introductions to any dog that she meets.

She is housebroken (for the most part and will let you know when she needs to go out) and crate-trained. The owner is surrendering her because she plays too rough with their other dog and her other dog is afraid of her. The owner is also expecting a new baby and won’t be able to provide the time and attention that Jolie needs. She needs to find a new home by 8/25.

If you think you can provide a great home for Jolie, please contact the owner listed below. There is a rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Jolie.

We pride ourselves on a thorough screening process. A complete application, background check,vet reference check, personal reference check, photos of property inside and out if there is not a local representative and we also use Google Earth to verify that the property in the photos matches.

Under one year $400.00 ( plus refundable $100 after spay/neuter
One to Seven years $250.00
Over Seven years $150.00

This includes spay/neuter, UTD on all immunizations and Health Clearance from Vet

More about this rescue

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.

In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 27,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.

Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.

We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
