My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kimber. He was taken in with his brother and buddy Ruger. He is a 3 1/2-4 yr old, 70-75 lb sweetheart lab mix. Kimber is just a big love bug. He is on the lower end of the energy level. He enjoys plenty of affection, chasing and talking to birds, sunbathing, chewing bones, playing with doggy siblings, taking walks, or lounging on the couch. Kimber would enjoy a nice yard or land with doggy friends, plenty of affection, and maybe a couch or comfy bed to call it a day on. In his foster home he has become accustomed to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Kimber is vetted, neutered, microchipped, house trained, kennel trained, walks on a leash, and knows basic commands. Kimber would make a great loving companion.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
