For The Cats' Sake
We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group of at least $80. On average, we spend $200 to cover food, litter, spay/neuter, testing, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care or medicine needed. Adopters donate $80 or more, as they choose, to cover expenses, and help our rescue continue to treat and find homes for more cats. This flexible policy makes it possible for people to adopt more than one cat., and we are flexible with donations for multiples and barn cats.
CAT EXPENSES:
Spay/neuter $75 to $150
Rabies and FVRCP $50
Test for FiV and FeLV $35
Microchip $25 (adopter registers for life for $30)
Wellness check at vet $50
Flea treatments and deworming $40
Any additional vet care or medications needed.
Food and litter $40 upwards, depending on time of stay.
TNR and a whole lot more...
