My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️
💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟

Meet Gonji🤍🤍

Gonji was urgently rescued due to overcrowding at the Gimje shelter, where there was a risk of euthanasia and exposure to infectious diseases for young puppies. She was rescued alongside #AdogsYeonji. Yeonji found a family but Gonji is still searching for her permanent home.

* With People: Loves people immensely! Approaches strangers without hesitation, and shows her affection with wagging her tail. Gets along well with kids.
* With Dogs: Has interest in other dogs but is not the type to approach them first. Has good manners and says hi to other dogs. Hangs around well even with larger dogs.
* With Cats: Gets excited around cats but does not chase them.
* Separation Anxiety: Manages well alone for short periods after her guardian leaves. Hasn't been left alone for long yet.
* Potty Training: Use potty pads with a 95% success rate. Prefer to poop outside.
* Hygiene: Though she is afraid of baths, she tolerates them well. Is not fond of the feeling of air from blow dryers but manages to endure it.
* Walking: Pulls on the leash at first due to excitement but calms down after pottying and sniffing around.
* Car Sickness: Is not typically prone to car sickness but does exhibit panting.

💌Special Notes💌
* Since she is a young puppy, Gonji may need training to address separation anxiety, potty habits, nipping, mouthing, whining, drooling, howling, and barking.
* Without knowledge of her parental breeds, predicting her shedding and growth size is challenging.
* Rarely barks and is not that sensitive to outdoor noises. May bark briefly or intermittently when it is silent at home but there is a loud sound in corridor or the movement of delivery persons outside.
* Has mastered commands like "sit," "lie down," and "wait," and is successful with "give paw" 90% of the time.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US and Canada when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
