Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Rena, an absolute delight of a 3-month-old, 17-pound (as of 8/3) Lab/Terrier mix with a heart full of curiosity and a personality as big as her growing body! Rena is a medium-energy puppy with a lot of spunk and playfulness, and she’s good with people of all ages.
Rena loves the outdoors and is always excited to explore the neighborhood, sniffing everything in sight, meeting new people, and greeting furry friends. Though she can get a bit distracted on walks, she’s already doing well on the leash for a puppy and is getting better every day with training.
This little lady is very curious about the world and loves to play with all kinds of toys—especially if they involve chewing! She’s incredibly food-motivated and is already mastering basic commands like sit, down, shake, and even the touch/"yes" command. Just be prepared for her to sometimes do all of them at once in her excitement for a treat!
Rena is crate trained and does well on her own, playing independently or settling in for a nap when you’re busy. She can be a bit vocal when first placed in her crate, but after a few minutes, she’ll calm down and either play with her toys or drift off to sleep. She’s also doing well with her potty training and is getting into a good routine.
Rena is a gentle giant in the making. She loves to cuddle and will happily curl up next to you on the couch or lay near you as you relax. She’s good with other dogs, very gentle when meeting new people, and is always eager to please.
Overall, Rena is a dream puppy who would do well in various home environments, especially one with people who enjoy training and spending time with a big-hearted dog. While we haven’t seen her with cats, we believe she could adapt well given her gentle nature. A home with a yard would be ideal for when she gets older, but what she needs most is a family who will love her as much as she’ll love them.

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.
PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.
Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.
We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.
Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
