Meet Barry, the mischievous kitten with a heart as big as his antics!
He's a bundle of energy, full of curiosity and playfulness. Barry's foster family nicknamed him "bad boy Barry", because he's always getting into something! Barry relies on his cute floofy face to get him out of any trouble.
Despite his shenanigans, Barry is sweet, affectionate, and just loves to cuddle.
His playful spirit and friendly demeanor make him the perfect companion.
Barry needs attention and plenty of interactive play. He gets along with others and would love to be adopted with one of his siblings. He would be fine with another furry friend that can keep up with him.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.

We are a non-profit rescue that is run entirely by volunteers. We work in partnership with our local PetSmart, located on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, MI.
