Animal Profile: Darla is a sweet 9 lb Chihuahua that joined us from Texas where she was found wandering as a stray. More to come as we get to know her in foster care.
Foster Update: Darla has a spunky personality and loves to cuddle on the couch with her people. She is house trained and crate trained, and does fine being alone for a typical 8-hour work day. She enjoys the company of other small dogs, but would be happy to be an only as well. Darla is a little more insecure around big dogs, but warms up to them once she realizes she won't get stepped on. She has a strong preference towards women, as she can be nervous around men. Darla would be fine in a household with dog-respectful, older children.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.

Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue, our partner in Del Rio Texas, and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 03/25/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.
