Will, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Jim Hopper, Eddie Munson, Steve Harrington, and Billy are brothers and can go home in pairs!
These rats came all the way from Ohio, when their mothers were pulled from a very large hoarding case. 300 rats were seized from a single home, and many females were pregnant, leaving the shelter with upwards of 500 rats!
These rats are fairly shy. They try to be brave and love baby puffs enough to take them directly from human hands, but they are still trying to learn that the world can be more than loud shelters and long car rides. They are looking for adult-only homes with no children under 16, as they tend to test hands with their teeth.
With time and patience, we believe that they will warm up to people, but they will need to go to understanding homes with families who are willing to work with them on trust building to help them feel safe in this big, scary world.
