Katy was found outside trying to keep her babies safe. She was a young mom at only a year old herself! She did a great job taking care of her babies, now its her time for someone take care of her.
Katy is a laid-back and friendly lady. She enjoys observing from high up or gazing out the window. She’s an independent kitty who’s happy to do her own thing and loves a cuddle and a pat when she’s in the mood. Snuggling up or rolling around in a sunbeam are two of her favorite activities. She also enjoys sitting next to her humans.
Katy gets along with other cats, though she isn’t afraid to assert herself. Dogs she can give or take, she doesn’t love them but also mostly just avoids them.
Katy is a doll and would love to watch a movie, read a book, or take a nap with you. She is a pro at stress-free living and would love to help new humans enjoy the relaxed approach to life.
Katy is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
