Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Alexis! She's a little couch potato ready to find her forever home. She is gentle and cuddly. She likes other cats, and she is super interested in dogs (not scared!). She LOVES to snuggle on the couch.
Alexis is a tabby girl cutie with a white face. She was born with eye defects that required surgery and medication, but now she is feeling much better!
She has a permanent vision impairment, which causes her to get nervous with quick movements. Her eyes look a little different, and sometimes they get watery. We posted baby pictures of her, so you can see her glow-up!
Alexis is a beacon of perseverance, not letting her eye defect dim her vibrant personality. She's different, but in the best way.
Alexis shows she loves you by trying to groom you. She wonders...why do humans have such long fur on their heads???
Alexis is friends with ALL her foster buddies. She would love to find a family that could adopt her with one of her foster friends. If not, she would need a home with a friendly cat. Alexis relies on other cats to help her feel safe.
She's a testament to the power of love and resilience. Alexis deserves a forever home where her loving nature can truly shine, where she can be the cherished companion she was born to be. Adopt Alexis, and let her love change your life.
Alexis is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
