My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oliver!

Oliver was found huddled on the side of the road with another cat (Annie). A good Samaritan stopped to help him and then called HART. When he came into the foster home he was terrified and hungry. He needed a safe quiet space to decompress and adjust to regular food and water. After a few weeks, he started to play with his foster family! Oliver was still very scared and would run if you moved too quickly but he was making progress and feeling more comfortable. We found out the quickest way to his heart is through treats! He can't get enough and will come running to you to get more! We have had him in foster care for a few months now, and there is a huge difference from when he first came to us!

Oliver takes a little bit to warm up but will come out of his shell fairly quickly to get treats and to play! He loves wand toys and shoe strings best. He doesn't mind being brushed but generally takes pretty good care of his grooming needs. He will butt his head into your hand and enjoys full back scratches all the way to the tip of his amazing tail. He is pretty curious and likes to explore and see what's going on. Oliver can be vocal at times and sounds like he is asking questions while he walks around, though his meow is not super loud.

Oliver does well with the resident cats and doesn't mind the resident dog either (though he is pretty calm and very good with cats). I don't believe he would do well in a home with small children since he is easily scared by sudden movements and noises. I think he will do best in a calm, quiet home where he is given time to adjust. Oliver would love a home with another friendly cat(s). He really enjoys being with other animals and learning from them. He is always rubbing his head against the resident cats and playing with the other foster kittens! Oliver is a pretty low maintenance cat and will make a great companion!

Oliver is around 1-2 years old and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
