Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Kaia and I have been staying with a foster while waiting for a family to come my way. My foster mom says I'm doing well in the home, and she enjoys spending time with me. I am fully litter trained and have good house manners. I'm kind of a snuggler and sometimes like to sleep in my foster's bed at night. I enjoy playing (toys on a string are my favorite), being brushed, using a scratching post and getting belly rubs. My foster describes me as sweet, cuddly, silly and quiet. I like to be around people, and I love affection but sometimes I do need some time to myself, and I let my human know when I need a break. I do have a sense of independence and appreciate a little quiet time in my day.If you are interested in learning more about this pet, call the Montgomery County, Virginia, Animal Care and Adoption Center at 540-382-5795.

More about this shelter
The Animal Care and Adoption Center (ACAC) opened on April 29, 2017 to provide care to stray and adoptable pets in the county.
The center's primary goal is to increase animal adoptions by expanding visitation and maximizing visibility in a setting where prospective pet owners visit dogs in an outdoor courtyard and cats in community rooms. Through partnerships with local animal groups and volunteers, the center emphasizes increasing adoptions and returning pets to their owners.
The Animal Care and Adoption Center's 16,300-square-foot-facility replaces a 1970s-era masonry facility that only housed dogs. The ACAC has the capacity to house 68 dogs and 64 cats.
ADOPTION FEES
Interested in adopting a pet? Unless otherwise listed, cats are $60 and dogs are $80.
