My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Socks! With soft white paws that look like little socks, I’ve journeyed from a crowded shelter to hoping for a place in your heart. I’m a 2-year-old Plott Hound/Terrier mix with a brindle coat and eyes full of kindness and curiosity. My early days were tough, but I’ve learned resilience and the value of a loving home.

Although I start off shy, a few gentle pets bring me out of my shell quickly. I love playing with other dogs, especially the larger ones, but what I dream of most is a special person to call my own. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, I have excellent manners—no shoe-chewing here!

I also have a keen interest in wildlife, which might make me a great companion for outdoor adventures in a secure environment. I’m looking for a stable, loving home where I can thrive and share all the love I have to give.

More about this rescue

Lady's Legacy is dedicated to transforming the lives of stray and abandoned dogs. Inspired by our namesake, Lady, whose life ended too soon, we focus on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation by adopting and transporting dogs from Texas to loving homes in other states, honoring Lady's memory through each life we save.
