I'm in a Foster Home! To meet me, email my foster parent at kbrice3@gmail.com.
Bailey is such a sweet girl, she has settled into her new routine in foster very quickly- learning how to coexist with a grumpy old dog foster brother, learning how to cope with humans with busy schedules as well as the lovely easy days where there is more play! Bailey has been learning leash manners and is getting very good at walking on a leash and not pulling or getting tangled when we walk both dogs at once. She LOVES saying hi to new people and dogs alike, we have been working hard on sitting and not jumping when meeting other humans, as well as giving respectful space when another dog does not want to meet her on the streets. Carrying items on our walks that she can use as a self-soothing tool when she gets too excited about the dog that across the street or kids playing in the park have been a great training aid.
Bailey is very good at house manners- respecting the space of the other dogs in the house as well as the human's stuffed animals (learning they are not all hers was tough, but she's done a great job at getting her own toy instead). She is eager to learn and is killing every training session we have with her. She sits for her food and waits for you to say her release word, she is AMAZING at settling in her crate when we as a house need some down time or for bedtime.
Bailey has been on adventures to the coffee shop, and Rock Creek Park- she LOVES the river and was very good at relaxing and playing while we did yoga and crafts in the park! She is such a love bug who just wants to have a home of her own, and a human to play tug of war with or snuggle on the couch and snore with. She makes the cutest little piggy noises when sleeping! Bailey is wonderful and anyone who meets her is a lucky human!
