My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Tater. I've seen a lot of life and I've got stories to tell. I'm not your average cat. I'm smart and curious, always exploring my surroundings. I enjoy solving puzzles and I've been known to outwit my human friends on occasion. I'm an old soul, but I still have plenty of energy for playtime. I'm looking for a new home where I can continue my adventures. I may be a senior, but don't let that fool you. I have a lot of love to give and I'm eager to share it with someone special. Adopting me means gaining a loyal companion who will keep you on your toes. I promise to make every day interesting.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
