Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Last month, Nashville Humane was contacted by one of our partners who needed assistance after an owner passed away. Upon arrival, it was clear there were more dogs than anticipated, and the conditions were far worse than expected. Our shelter has been a big adjustment for these pups, but we are happy to report many of them are already blossoming in forever homes. We ask that you give the remaining dogs the same chance at a new chapter. They will take time to come out of their shells and warm up to you, but once they do, you will have a best friend forever. We understand some of them are shut down in our shelter, but we know the right environment, a safe and loving home, will do wonders for them.

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Nashville Humane Association. We’re located at 213 Oceola Ave in West Nashville, near the intersection of White Bridge Road and Charlotte Pike, and are open from 10AM until 5PM TUE through SUN (closed Mondays). We’re also closed every TUE-THUR from 12-1PM for “Quiet Hour.” As a quick heads up, our adoption process takes about an hour, and all adoptions must be finalized on-site at the shelter, so if you’re planning to visit and adopt, be sure to make accommodations for time.
