My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Pippi, I was a pregnant stray that was brought to SFAAR so I could have my babies. Now that my babies are weaned it is time for me to focus on myself. I'm a bit overweight right now because I kept eating my kitten's food. Kitten food is higher in fat - so now, I'm a little higher in fat.

After I've been home all day alone, when I hear the door open, I'm right there to greet you. Waiting patiently for a scratch behind my ears and a pet. I don't particularily like to be picked up but I love to be pet.

I'm social and friendly, but so far I'm not a lap cat. I love to be with people and to lay next to them on the couch or on the bed. Maybe someday I will also love to sit in laps.

I'm quite young yet so I still act like a kitten. I love to chase balls and stuffed mice. I go crazy chasing a toy on the end of a rope. I love my scratching post. It's really high with lots of different levels. And, just like a kitten, I'm inquisitive. I want to investigate every room in the house. I also love to be up high so I will jump on the kitchen counter to watch the birds outside.

One thing I hate though, is having my nails trimmed. I really don't like it so it makes it hard for people when they try to do that. I'm OK with getting brushed or combed though.

I'm a bit of a talker and will meow when I want something, whether it's food, a door opended or a scratch and a pet. My voice isn't really loud, but you'll be able to hear me.

I'm still in a foster home that I enjoy, but I would love being in a forever home with adults and maybe some older kids. I'm a bit of a quirky cat, but I love people.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Animal Rescue (SFAAR) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned, neglected, stray and surrendered dogs and cats. Until they are adopted, the pets in our program live in loving foster homes as part of the family while we learn about their personalities, behaviors and temperaments. Foster families work with their animals to teach them good manners, care for any medical problems, and address any behavior issues. This information helps our adoption counselors match the perfect pet for you and your family.
