My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there,
they call me Titan. The volunteers here consider me an easy going fella and a super cool walking partner.
I arrived here with my Buddy Rocky. We still get to hang out some on walks and beside each other in the play yard.
✅I walk by other dogs ok.
❌😽Those cats can't be trusted. I'm a no cat guy.
🧹I'm neat in my kennel. I try to hold my potty to go outside.
⚖️ They say I'm skinny. 53 pounds. I could use a few good meals.
📖 Background : rough. that's all I have to say about that.

My goal is to land a new gig pretty soon. I'm trying to put myself out there and smile as much as possible. Rocky said that's the way to get a new bff. Smile and roll over for belly rubs. Rocky knows. He is charming the socks of those walker people. I hope o can find someone that will give me nice walks and a nice comfy couch. Or a dog bed on the floor is ok. I don't want to be walking the streets anymore. The ACOs are nice but I'm over the truck ride. I have a nice personality. I'll do what you like. I'll even watch the ⚾️Nats if you want. Just so I can be near you.
I can go high speed or low speed. If you want hikes - you bet!
If you want chill-sign me up!

Please come and meet me. I've got a lot to share with the right person. I'd like to be someone's really special friend this time. I won't ask for much. Some snacks and you time.
I've been here before and left and here again. No offense, I don't want to be here anymore!!
✅sign up here for a loyal and loving new best friend. I won't leave your side.
Just ask for T (as in I'm more of a Teddy Best than a Titan!)

A "meet and greet" is required with all family members and the pet prior to finalizing the adoption application. If someone is adopting a dog and has another dog at home, we also require a "meet and greet" for the dogs as well. All animals in the home must be up to date on vaccinations prior to new pet going home. We do not adopt to people who will keep the pet outside exclusively. We may do a home visit either pre or post-adoption. Animals adopted from us are not be sold or given to another person. We verify all information on the adoption application and may deny an application with any false information on it. A follow up call or visit is done on all adoptions within first 30 days of adoption.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
