My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louisa is a gorgeous gal who was a great mom to 7 puppies! She is now ready to be the baby! She is dog door trained and loves to flash her doggie smile! Louisa loves to hop around like a bunny and is a very playful girl! She is also the queen of snuggles and would love nothing more than to cuddle up next to you!

Louisa is also great with other dogs with a slow introduction! She loves to play and has recently learned that she has a voice and loves to do a tiny little howl and is very vocal when she plays! This girl absolutely loves to be loved on and is just waiting to bring lots of happiness to someone's life!

Miss Louisa only has one vice and that is that she is not a friend to the kitties. She has decided that in the heated debate of cats vs dogs, dogs definitely win!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
