*Hat Coat and Smiley Face are bonded and must be adopted together.*
Hat Coat and Smiley Face are a pair of sweet four-year-olds. Once they get comfortable, they are playful, cuddly and entertaining. Their crackly meows are very cute and they love cuddling with each other. Smiley enjoys sitting on your lap when you're sitting, and on your chest when you're laying down. His motor like purr is charming as long as it doesn't keep you awake. He loves gently pawing at your face or any other bare skin. Hat prefers not to be picked up, but will generally accept face and back scratches. In the evening and mornings, he will often join Smiley and sit next to or on you. Both enjoy playing with small toys and occasionally wands. They startled easily, and appreciate a verbal heads up when you're approaching them. They both love getting brushed and have had no problems with using their litter box.
They both love to watch birds and any outdoor activity through open screened windows. If you forget to open a window, they will urgently remind you. During their five month foster they interacted with two different dogs. The boys would tolerate or possibly enjoy living with a calm dog, who is not interested in barking at or chasing them. They have not interacted with any children and due to their easily startled nature would perhaps do best with children over 12.
Though a bit shy at first, they become lovely interactive little companions and are ready to show their sweet natures.
Special needs due to cataracts in his eyes that will need regular checkups with his veterinarian. Please visit https://felinerescue.org/all-cats/ to learn more about me and where I am located!

By adopting a Feline Rescue cat you will be supporting a caring, no-kill shelter and making room for one more homeless cat. We are always looking for good, safe, loving homes for our many cats and kittens. We want to be sure placements are a success for both parties, so before we send our feline friends home with anyone, we ask you to fill out a basic questionnaire. Since we work with cats everyday we will be able to suggest a perfect match to your needs. All of our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, receive all age-appropriate vaccinations, and high-quality veterinary care and exams. We charge an adoption fee to offset these costs. Adoption Hours: We are open seven days a week for adoptions, but our hours do vary. Please visit our website to see up to date open hours.
