My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am currently at Stafford Creek Corrections Center as part of the FREEDOM TAILS Board & Train Program from August 8 - October 31. This popular program pairs a duo of incarcerated individuals up with a PAWS of Grays Harbor pooch for 12 weeks. Each dog has a primary and secondary handler assigned to the same cell, giving the dog 24-hour care and attention to meet its needs. During their stay at SCCC, these dogs receive specialized training to prepare them for adoption to the public. At the end of their 12-week stay, they enjoy a special adoption ceremony with their new families to show off their skills as they start a new journey. Find out more at pawsgh.org/freedomtails.

Hello everybody! I’m Bobbi. I am one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. Some of my hobbies rerunning around with any toy, jumping through hoops, and gnawing on my bone. I am very social and love all people and dogs. My favorite motto to live by is “ Feeling sad, mad, up or down, just grab a toy and run around.”

I will do well in almost any home. I love kids, other dogs, young or old people, and single or married. I am just as happy spending inside with my person as I am running around in the yard with my fellow puppy pals.

I am at the beginning of my journey but look forward to learning as much as I can so I can become my best self for my future forever home.

I am a very quiet girl and I am not big on slobbering or messy kisses. I love to cuddle, though. I will do whatever I believe will get me some affection out of my person.

I have a bit of a separation issue but am getting more confident by the day. What can I say? I really love I really love spending time with you humans. You are all so wonderful and always provide me with love and attention. Who can blame me?

I am still a puppy and I am learning these things called boundaries. I have not experienced these before.

I will keep you all posted how my training is going in the weeks to come. I CANNOT WAIT TO MEET YOU! Until next time….

Additional adoption info

Spay/neuter + rabies is included in our adoption fee, but may not be completed by time of adoption due to our limited access to veterinary appointments. Microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, flea treatment and dewormer are included.

Go meet their pets

Our public hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 4pm. Dog meets may be also scheduled on Sunday and Monday by appointment only. No appointment is needed to meet our cats during public hours.
Please note that appointments are highly recommended for dog meets due to limited staff availability, but we do accommodate walk-in visits whenever possible. Additionally, many of our dogs may be located off-site in foster homes and an appointment will be required to meet those pets. We do require a completed application prior to meeting pets in foster homes to preserve the valuable time of our foster families.

More about this shelter

PAWS finds new families for stray dogs and cats as well as owner surrendered pets. We also accept animals brought to us by concerned citizens and local animal control agencies and do our best to find them suitable homes. Our mission is to find homes and offer direct care for as many of these loveable pets as possible. PAWS attempts to prevent the birth of unwanted animals through education and spay/neuter programs.

PAWS of Grays Harbor is a strictly non-profit organization and we survive because of donations from our community. All of the animals we adopt out are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for fleas. Sometimes, the animals we rescue require additional veterinary care. Without your donations, none of this would be possible. Thank you for your support, we couldn’t do it without you.
