My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mulder is a fantastic cat with lots of energy with a love for snuggles as well. He is 4 years old (born approximately 11/11/2019) and he had a tragic start to his life. He was rescued as a newborn kitten found alone in a pile of leaves and a very kind soul brought him into an animal emergency clinic where they revived him and helped find a new home for him ever since then. His family is moving out of the country and unfortunately cannot take him with them.

Mulder has a shiny black coat with a very tiny smidge of white on his chest. Please don’t let his color keep you away as black cats are some of the best cats around. He loves to play and run around but will curl up in your lap as soon as you are lying down or sitting with a cozy blanket. He loves to cuddle and groom with other cats but also wants to play and wrestle with them so another cat in the home needs to accept that about him. He will also happily play by himself but he particularly enjoys playing with people and other pets. He has done well with dogs of many sizes but generally just ignores them. He is excellent with kids of all ages and plays tag with toddlers and cuddles with babies.

He is a talker and will always let you know where he is and what he wants. He is a master biscuit maker when he sits on laps or a pile of blankets before settling down for a nap. He always want to be around people and will follow you from room to room. He loves playing in tunnels and is also very fun to watch when he loves jumping up and doing flips for toys. When it’s time to settle down for the night, he prefers to sleep with his humans in their bed but he also enjoys a good pet bed or the couch.

Mulder is a world-class greeter and he loves to run to greet people when they visit but if there are a lot of people around or an energetic dog, he may hide briefly. Otherwise he will be ready for all the attention someone is willing to give him. He tolerates being picked up but not for very long unlike his brother Captain (also on Petfinder) who enjoys being carried around. If you can make room for two cats of differing ages, Captain and Mulder may be a good fit for you.

If you like a cat who gets the zoomies and loves to run up and down the stairs and in hallways, then Mulder is the sweetest young cat for you. Ask us about him today!
